“Venezuela, U.S. Intervention: the Monroe Doctrine rebooted”

presented by

Dan Kovalik, Author and human rights defender

Daniel Kovalik is Senior Associate General Counsel of the United Steelworkers, AFL-CIO (USW). He has written extensively on the issue of international human rights and U.S. foreign policy.

Described as “one of the most prominent defenders of Colombian workers in the United States,” Dan has worked on cases arising out of severe human rights abuses by The Coca-Cola Company and Drummond & Occidental Petroleum in Colombia.

He was the recipient of the Project Censored Award for his article exposing the unprecedented killing of trade unionists in
Colombia.

Dan’s presentation couldn’t be more timely. Members of the Trump administration have openly talked of using the Monroe Doctrine against Venezuela. Don’t miss this presentation!
