Come and learn how you can help!!

Student members of UR Dreamers will present personal testimony based on living the experiences of being DACAmented or undocumented. For them, a Clean Dream Act and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) are not just an advocacy goal, but critical legislation to protect the lives they have made in the United States since they were children and the lives of their families.

In September 2017, the Trump Administration announced that Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), the Obama-era program that protects some 800,000 young people from deportation who were brought here as young children, will end in 6 months. DACA allows immigrant youth to legally work, go to college, contribute their talents, and pursue their dreams in the only country many have ever known without fear of deportation. The Trump administration is also letting TPS for some countries expire, including for immigrants from particularly violent countries such as El Salvador and Honduras. TPS has protected many parents of DACA young people.
