- November 11th is known now as Veteran's Day. Originally it was Armistice Day and was dedicated to promoting world peace and an end to war.
Please join us as we honor the original intent of November 11th as we call for reclaiming Armistice Day and ring bells on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in remembrance of when the guns fell silent across the battlefields of Europe and the world. Please bring your own bell to ring in celebration of world peace.

- Description:
- Recognizing a day of Peace, rather than a day of war remembrance, is one of the missions of Veterans For Peace. Come rain, snow, or maybe even sunshine, please feel free to join us on November 11th on the walkway over Rt. 104 in Rochester by the Veterans Memorial Bridge to ring bells and recognize the silencing of the guns at the end of The Great War in 1918.
