Moving into Courage when Tyranny Threatens: Claiming our Rights and Responsibilities as Citizens 1:30-4:00 Sunday, January 6, 2019 1010 East Ave. (the red brick building immediately west of Asbury United Methodist Church) Together we will explore: What are the signs of tyranny? How do we distinguish between religious freedom and the abuse of religious power? What are our constitutional rights as applied to 21st-Century America? How are the abuses of power personally affecting us? How can we move from a sense of powerlessness to creative, courageous action? Sponsored by Pachamama Alliance’s Seeds of Hope. We will be guided by Scott Forsyth, an attorney in private practice with decades of involvement with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The event is free. Registration is requested.
