7:00pm [7:00pm] Police Accountability Organizing Kick-Off Campaign meeting
Description:
Enough Is Enough and the Police Accountability Organizing Committee invite you to attend a Kick-Off Campaign meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 7:00 pm, at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 Fitzhugh Street North. All spring we have been promoting "The Case for and Independent Police Accountability System: Transforming the Civilian Review Process in Rochester, New York," (attached). Plans are underway to make this a major campaign issue for the Rochester City Council and Mayoral elections so that we can have a new Police Accountability Board established this year. We need police accountability and transparency, an end to racial profiling, and justice for all Rochester's residents! Please attend the June 6 meeting where we will update you on what has been happening, what needs to happen, and how you can help make it happen! All hands on deck! If you care about justice, dignity, and respect for all people, especially the Black and Brown residents of Rochester, please join us, whether you are a Rochester resident or not. This is a community issue, and now is the time to act! Please share this message with any who might be interested in being involved in this issue. Thank you in advance for your support!
