[All day event] The 8th annual Pick Up the Parks Event
Description:
Hello Greetings from the Monroe County Parks! The 8th annual Pick Up the Parks Event is right around the corner. It is a great opportunity for concerned citizens to contribute to their community! Our event flyer is at www.monroecounty.gov/parks/pickuptheparks The 8th annual PUTP has a new look! -We will host the event on 7 consecutive Saturdays (April 1st through May 13th) as opposed to hosting a one-day event as we have in the past. -Please visit www.monroecounty.gov/parks/pickuptheparks for more details and to register your group. Benefits to the new format include: 1. More opportunity for conservation education and litter prevention efforts. 2. Increased ability to coordinate varied tasks at PUTP. 3. More opportunities to personally thanking participants at a Thank You Picnic. 4. It will be a more personalized, community event. 5. Better chance of catering to more volunteers' busy schedules. 6. Higher chance of volunteers coming out more than once. Your next steps: A) Check your calendars and determine which PUTP date (or dates!) you can attend B) Call your friends, family, and clubs you're in and ask them to join you. C) Register your group at www.monroecounty.gov/parks/pickuptheparks D) Submit an Individual/Family Volunteer Waiver Form (VWF) E) Come out to your desired Park on its assigned day. F) Join us for the Thank You Picnic on your desired day. Any questions, just let me know! Thanks!
